When We Are Closed
For advice and appointments at weekends and on weekdays between 18:30 and 08:00, please call NHS 111 - dial 111.
- The service is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones. Call NHS 111 if:
- You need medical help/advice but it is not a 999 emergency
- You think you may need go to A&E or need another urgent care service
- You need healthcare information or reassurance
The service is led by a team of fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses and paramedics. They will ask you questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you to the local service that can help you best. This could be the out of hours doctor, A&E, a walk-in centre or local pharmacy.
You may also arrange an out of hours appointment with a GP or Nurse by calling 01942 482848 until 20:00 weekdays, and between 10:00 and 16:00 Saturdays and Sundays
Alternatively you may wish to visit the local walk in centre at Leigh open from 07:00 in the morning to 21:00 at night, seven days a week.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
